Basis Registration are an independent charity that support people in improving their standards and helping the environment via the correct land management. For the past 45 years they have facilitated the education and training of members within the plant protection and agronomy industry.
As an extremely busy business, it was important that the print environment at Basis helped rather than hindered their day-to-day duties. They desired a user-friendly solution that promoted sustainability and ensured zero downtime.
Outdated Print Equipment Sowing Chaos
Basis’s print environment was not suitable for their needs, with old machinery & too many unnecessary devices, it was clear that their solutions needed optimising.
“Our machines were far bigger than we needed them to be, they were also old and continuously breaking. We would have stoppages for weeks which was just not ideal for the business.”
We were able to consolidate the devices guaranteeing that their print ability was not affected. The addition of print management software also meant that no confidential prints would be left on the printer as well as reducing print waste from accidental prints.

Print rules such as automatic black & white and duplex printing were also implemented onto the devices which added to the reduction in resource usage and cost. This is something that Basis were very impressed with and has made a huge difference to their print volumes and surplus prints which fits in significantly with the ethos of their business.
