We have been spreading some Christmas cheer in the form of brand-new PC’s.
After the challenging year everyone has had, the DNS Team wanted to give back to local charities and in the spirit of Christmas delivered some brand-new All-in-One HP PC’s.
First up, Martin, dropped off a PC to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice The dream of the hospice began in 1998 with the vision to help families that wanted an alternative to hospital care. Bluebell Wood is a home from home for families facing the toughest of times, with a comfy lounge, beautiful gardens and fun activities for all children including soft play, arts and crafts and music therapy.
Their new PC will be going in the teenager room to help them chill out and play games.
Bluebell Wood’s Regional Fundraiser wrote on LinkedIn: “Great to see Martin Lenton today, who has kindly donated a HP Pro One 440 G4 to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Thank you so much for thinking of us this time of year. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year.”
Steve then delivered a present to Harmless. Harmless’ vision is to be the leading service provider in the field of self-harm, by providing ease of access to service for people who self-harm as well as their friends and families.
They place people with lived experience at the heart of their service and do their very best to surround the people they help with compassion and practical help and support to bring about measurable and meaningful change.
They wrote on Twitter: “From all of us here at Harmless, we would like to say a huge thank you to Steve Lockwood and all at DNS in Derby for donating a new PC that will enable us to provide more efficient support to those in need by replacing one of our old, slow and outdated PCs. Thank you!”
And finally, Hugh visited Maria and Mark at Me&Dee charity. Me&Dee was formed in 2006 and is a totally self-funded charity.
Their mission is to ensure that families going through difficult and uncertain times are gifted with memories they can treasure forever. They are auctioning off the PC (along with many other great things) on their very own auction page, take a look here.
Maria, founder of the charity wrote on Facebook: “This is such amazing support, we really appreciate all that you do for us.”
We are glad we were able to help support these fantastic charities, they do the most amazing self-less work. We wish them all the best for 2021.
