Touchless access, infrared security and cloud authentication in the latest AltaLink Update
All Xerox AltaLink C1800 and B8100 devices can now benefit from a software update at no extra cost to customers. Created to ensure that the physical and digital worlds are merged easily for users.

Touchless Processes: Copy, scan, fax or even email without touching the user screen. With the automatic touchless workflow accelerators, users simply insert a job in the document feeder and Altalink does the rest – easy!
Imaging Content Security: Using Xerox’s exclusive infrared technology to mark sensitive information you can protect documents from unintended disclosure. With the ability to create alerts and audit logs of duplication attempts your documents are secure.
Mobile and Cloud Connectivity: Login to the Xerox AltaLink using colour authentication to eliminate the need for an on-site authentication server.
Native support for Microsoft Universal Print: Customers with Office 364 (who have adopted Microsoft Universal Print) can register their AltaLink with MUP, eliminating the need for the MUP connector.
Multi-feed detection: The optional Multi-feed Detection Kit (which will be available soon for the C8170 and B8170 models) detects when multiple pages are fed together. This allows users to clear the mis-feed, reorganize or rescan the job quickly and easily.
The AltaLink goes beyond print to enable businesses to connect, share and convert workplace documents saving them time, effort and money. As well as the new updates, AltaLink users can also benefit from advanced scanning capabilities allowing them to digitalise and share information instantly.
