We are delighted to announce that DNS is officially Carbon Neutral.
Being Carbon Neutral means that the carbon dioxide released here at DNS is balanced by an equal amount being removed (in our case via planting trees), therefore there is no extra C02 released into the atmosphere.
Despite businesses being more educated on print usage and opting to print greener, print is still a huge contributor to environmental wastage and can certainly has a negative impact on our carbon footprint. However, here at DNS we know that the need to print is necessary for many businesses therefore, we are proud to say that not only are we Carbon Neutral… from 2022 we are also offsetting the carbon from the solutions we offer our customers too. This means that businesses can be rest assured that that their office solutions and equipment are helping our planet.
To make this happen, we have been working with Co-Treetment, a charity who specialise in planting trees to create woodland spaces within the East Midlands. Their planting schemes not only reduce Carbon in the atmosphere, but they also absorb water from flood plains meaning they create the perfect habitat for wildlife to thrive in. The trees that are planted are specially selected and native to the UK, meaning that they are perfect for all future inhabitants.

There are many ways DNS has adapted to not only become more environmentally friendly but to also be able to offer our customers solutions that help them reduce their environmental impact too. From implementing print management software so that print usage can be monitored (and wastage can be reduced), to recycling toners & printers and to even more recently, offering communication systems that enable you to make business calls from your laptop or mobile eliminating the need for a physical desktop phone (that let’s face it, will end up in landfill).
